The origins of our story started way back in 1971 with the birth of our founder and Managing Director 'Eain McGurdy', in Abingdon, Oxfordshire (then Berkshire), Eain was given up for adoption by his birth mother, who wanted to get two of her other children out of foster care, even though Eain's birth father wanted to keep Eain, his birth mother didn't, and Eain was put into foster care until his adoption was completed in May 1972. Eain lived a happy, curious childhood with his adoptive family in Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.
In 2002 Eain finally decided after many years of thought and heartache to finally search for his birth parents, to cut a very very long story short, it took Eain four long years of investigation on his own to find his birth mother, and after a strong start to their relationship Eain's birth mother decided to cut all ties with Eain as she could no longer cope with the guilt of not only abandoning Eain, but also two other children she had put into care many years ago! Although Eain has tried countless times to make contact with his birth mother via postcards, birthday and Christmas cards, she point blank refuses to have any contact with him!
Eain has subsequently made contact with other biological relatives, and continues his efforts to build a relationship with his birth mother.
